CMU Research News RE-FORM “IR-FEL & Ultrafast Lasers” Thai inventions raise the bar for cutting-edge research

PBP-CMU Electron Linac Laboratory" or PBP-CMU Electron Linac Laboratory (PCELL), Department of Physics and Materials Science, Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, was invited in CMU Research News magazine. RE-FORM Research Information In the topic “IR-FEL & Ultrafast Lasers”, Thai inventions raise the level of cutting-edge research.

The content introduces the “PBP-CMU Electron Linac Laboratory” (PCELL), which aims to be a central laboratory for the application of electron accelerators and infrared free electron lasers (IR-FELs), including ultrafast lasers, for use in cutting-edge research and applied research, such as spectroscopy, laser material property modification, and high-sensitivity interaction studies. Most of the equipment in this laboratory is designed and developed by a team of Thai researchers and students. In addition, there has been research collaboration with universities and agencies both domestically and internationally for over twenty years, with agencies in the cooperation network countries such as the United States, the Federal Republic of Germany, Japan, and Taiwan, making this laboratory the first laboratory to initiate work in this field in Thailand, including countries in the ASEAN community.
