During 24 - 25 November 2023, O-Brain under the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) in collaboration with the Thailand Center of Excellence in Physics, Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization), and National Institute of Nuclear Technology (Public Organization) organized a seminar on “Particle Accelerators and Applications in Thailand” at the Busaba Room, Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok to brainstorm and exchange knowledge on the progress of particle accelerator development and applications in various fields both domestically and internationally, as well as to create cooperation between domestic and international agencies in particle accelerator development and applications. Honored by Assistant Professor Dr. Burin Asavabhiphop, who gave a welcome speech to the participants, and Professor Dr. Pairat Thatchayapong, Secretary-General of the Information Technology Foundation under the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, gave an opening speech for the seminar.
The seminar on “Particle Accelerators and Applications in Thailand” provides an opportunity for researchers, academics, experts, students, entrepreneurs, and the general public to share their knowledge and experiences, which will help enhance understanding of the development and application of particle accelerators, which is the application of advanced technology in various fields, such as advanced research, industry, agriculture, medicine, and materials science improvement and analysis, etc. The seminar will create awareness and understanding in society about the application of particle accelerator technology, allowing participants to understand the use of this technology and realize the importance of supporting research and development in the country. The seminar was attended by more than 70 interested people.
